The Woman Is The Moon Poem by Nyx C Styx

The Woman Is The Moon

the moon appears during the day
out shined by the suns mighty ray
yet he gives her some of his brilliant light
to guide her through the blackest night
for when he wants to hide from view
too achingly suspended against skies of blue
and sinks himself into evening sorrow
how does he rise again for tomorrow?

because

she is all that holds onto his brilliant light
when none recalls him in the middle of the night
that light guides her back to his side
and at dawn, he will set to the skies and ride
and illumine the eternity of paradise
caring only for the light that reaches her eyes
