The Wise Poet Poem by Richard Wlodarski

The Wise Poet

Rating: 5.0

Seeing the king
Solemnly sad
The wise poet
Meditated
"This too shall pass"
Words from One God
From one poet
To such wise king
From such wise times
To such tough times

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
"this too shall pass" is a Persian adage whose origin appears to be from Persian Sufi poets such as Rumi. It's been used in the bible, Jewish folklore and by Abraham Lincoln. When the pandemic is over, I shall have a ring custom made with these words engraved on it.

A very inspiring write. Yes, these dark times will come to pass. With our faith, courage and firm determination, we will rise and conquer this dreaded.disease. A great poem with a meaningful message.
