No one should be living in the streets, much less a child, but sadly many do… and their survival is day to day, if not meal to meal….
Sandra, I hope someday you will read my unsuccessful attempt in 'Street Kids' to capture what you have so admirably scored. Blessings always, Bill Grace
Your opening line set my imagination running riot.I can see this boy looking although he does not know what he is looking for
Writing about this child, the way you wove his story, is remarkable. Noticing this child, when so many others had not, is the arrow to the heart. How I wish I could bundle up all the homeless children and give them a home. Instead, all we can give is poetry of 'Yes, you are there. I see you. Will always see you.' You have done this poem with a great heart and, an arrow.xxElysabeth
This is, by far, one of your very finest poems. Bravo, Sandra! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
The fragility and impermanence of all things immortalised in this beautifully crafted and poignant poem. Justine.

A beautiful dedication to a precious life.....It captures the beauty of life and also the journey after life.......Another great poem. Hugs NIX xx
This is a poem that, to me, celebrates the wonder of all life and the dignity and preciousness of human life, no matter in what circumstance it is found. It captures the beauty of existence, no matter how fleeting the moment. Somehow, it recaptures that moment in life when the world was new.
incredibly memorable verse. use of 'fey' was pivotal and cool. Everything is so fleetingly fragile. best care, sjg
Sandra wonderful qualty in writing this one, this is always a sad subject, but I am sure that most people feel for the street child, if they don't then your poem will surly make them change their minds. Such lovely words again great work cheers Sylviex
We can't read this tender portrait without hoping that this child will gain a shelter door of his own to open and shut with his comings and goings.
The love of nature is what makes us human, in part. So irresistable even the poorest and the grieving take notice. This poem packs a lot of love...
Your street child stands tall and noble in this inspiring piece about the transient nature of beauty and the exquisite fragility of life. A beautiful, moving poem, Sandra. love, Allie xxxx
Everyone of any age is merely a prayer away from being a street child, your compassion is lovely, may God have mercy on all our souls, Uriah
With Winter approaching these street children are on my mind - a sight staying with me behind a closed door at night. Promises, promises never kept by the Powers that be - thank you for bringing their plight to light...
