Somehow your beautiful comment seems to have escaped notice until now... although I feel that it is familiar to me. Perhaps PH lost my reply? ? ? I mean, really, would they, could they, do such a thing? ? ? ;)

Thank you for the comment--yes, it was difficult to express my faith but the more I do so the easier it has become---and this response to it makes it so much easier in the future!

Susan, I like the grace in 'message imprinted' in this poem. I often watch the doves feeding from a feeder. Their wings beat out a warning in unison when startled. QtR

I apologize for not seeing this comment and replying sooner. I value the input from my fellow poets and thank you for taking the time to read and comment, Quoth theRaven. Er, perhaps the doves you watch eating and fly away are worried about the presence of a raven? ? ? ! ! ! hehehe

Robert, this really happened. The imprint of that wing and a portion of her body remained on my window until last year. There's more to be written and perhaps one day I will bring myself to do so. Thank you for fav-ing this- -the event had a huge impact on me.

very powerful images here has used by the professional poet, if the crow symbolised the past to Edgar Allan Poe, here the dove is a metaphoric aspect of life for Susan...today 100+++ cheers

Loved the poem, especially these lines - like the image of a heartfelt prayer the left wing of the dove, each feather etched in dust on the glass. How touching!
