Very powerfully penned with deep conviction. The verdict of 'Dust To Dust`is an inescapable, existential reality that bears eloquent testimony to the maxim, 'Vanity Upon Vanity'. Thanks for your immense contribution to The Poemhunter Family.

That's why I always believe in words of John Keats...heard melodies are sweet but those unheard are sweeter... for which we all are here! !

I absolutely agree with the truthful last line but we should always remember life is short but art is long!

When someone is at the height of power and thinks nothing can happen to him, life is one revolving fate, and it can blow against the grain at any moment, just shake it off its pedestal!

There's always a payoff for those who seek a foolish and wanton ideology, principle or self enforcing vain belief. For what goes around eventually comes around. A superbly well written powerful tour de force of a poem, presenting a more than fine moral message to any reader. Five worthy and respected stars. Richly and deservedly bestowed. Thank you for writing and sharing your poem Rose Marie and I wish you well. Take care and remain poetry blessed.

People make many plans and schemes. Some manipulate everything for selfish ends. But when one is standing on the pinnacle of glory, fate can veer around in an adverse way at an unexpected time and quake him out of his pedestal! A great truth beautifully presented in verse!

He who manipulates everything towards his selfish muse will certainly one day be answerable to the verdict and has to walk away empty handed in complete, dreadful silence. Many a congratulation dear RMJ for the creation of this marvellous, catching poetic beauty.5 star
