The Wind Behind My Sail Poem by Pacific Hernandez

The Wind Behind My Sail

Rating: 5.0

I got timber from the forest
I got resin from the trees
And from the store canvas and nails
And made a strong ship with a sail

In a wharf I'm now and all is set
To leave the land of loneliness
I want to sail the sea of love
Something amiss I realized
There's no wind on my sail to blow
There is no wind to push me through
I cannot sail the seas of life
Because there's no wind that is you
