The Wind Comments

Rating: 4.6

I hear the whispering of a wind from the hills
It comes down tickling the woodland rills
From far is heard the frightened murmur of leaves
As the wind pounces on them like wayside thieves

what a lovely description of the wind with it's variance in mood what is so pleasing in imagining it! ! And a perfect rhyming makes this poem memorable with it's merit inside it. A great penning.

You capture all of the wind's many dimension from gentle breeze to hurricane force. And we have to face the truth it is just ONE GREAT THING with all of these attributes. How can we wrap our minds around something so huge and varied. Well, the answer is in your poem: you follow the course of the wind as it reveals its full reality. I especially liked the penultimate stanza in which you describe its hidden source which will ever be invisible to us. The wind will never expose itself to us entirely.

Wind's many forms are beautifully presented in the poem. As breeze it pleasantly whispers. As gale it turns violent. Air that moves makes life move creating waves that please the eye. Nature presented at its best. Thank you.

Great write, Valsa-ji. You are at your best here. The wind is now bound to accompany you you as a gentle breeze wherever you go. Perhaps, I loved this most: It pleats the blue chiffon of the ocean Sometimes curling the waves in electric motion Over the sea it runs puffing up the sails And over the sky, heaping the clouds in bales ....10

Thank you for yet another beautiful flowing poem Valsa. Now I feel like I see the wind even though it is 'unseen'. Your many examples of its nature and influence are rich and a true pleasure to read.

From hearing the whispering of the winds on hills to triggering sparks of fear and horror all around, you have very well traced the course of wind.Though we all have experienced this wind it takes only Valsa to bring about a full length lovely poem on the subject. Kodos to you, dear!

Close observation of the nature and here the wind made into a great poem by the poet. The wind in differently behaves to nature, sometimes shakes the branches of trees, over the sky heaping the clouds in bale....great imaginations of the poet that I likes much.
