The White Knight Poem by Isadora Quagmire

The White Knight

Rating: 5.0

O white knight so brave and true,
Your noble deeds did shine through,
Cheerful and merry, with a heart so pure,
Your life was a beacon, that did ensure.
With unwavering love, you cared for your children,
In battles fierce, your sword did win,
Protecting them with a noble plan,
Your legacy remains, a valiant span.
But alas, fate was cruel and grim,
It took you from us, leaving our hymn,
O knight, who faced your end with grace,
Leaving behind your valiant trace.
Rest now, noble knight old,
Your legacy will forever be told,
In our hearts, a flame so bright,
O white knight, sleep peaceful tonight.
Through the fields of life you did roam,
Your courage a shield, a steadfast home,
In laughter and cheer, you found delight,
Bringing joy to all in sight.
Your laughter echoed in halls of stone,
A melody sweet, a comforting tone,
Your children cherished, held so dear,
In your arms, they felt no fear.
In every dawn, and twilight's hue,
Your spirit soared, unwavering and true,
Merry and bright, you danced with glee,
A soul so free, like the sea.
The stars now shine upon your name,
A knight of honor, eternal fame,
In dreams we see your smile so warm,
A gentle light, in the storm.
We honor you, our brave white knight,
Your memory, a guiding light,
In every heart, your story remains,
A song of love, through joys and pains.
So rest now, under skies so wide,
With love, we keep you by our side,
O noble knight, forever bright,
Sleep peaceful through the night.
Your children miss you every day,
In their hearts, you always stay,
They remember your words so kind,
And the gentleness of your mind.
In their eyes, tears often gleam,
As they recall each cherished dream,
Your noble spirit guides them still,
With your wisdom, their hearts fill.
They speak of you with pride and love,
Knowing you watch them from above,
In their laughter, they hear your voice,
In your memory, they rejoice.
They honor the path you paved,
The bravery and strength you gave,
In their lives, your legacy lives on,
A beacon, forever shone.
O white knight, though you've departed,
Your spirit leaves them never parted,
In their dreams, they see your face,
With open arms, your warm embrace.
Your nobleness, they deeply hold,
A testament of love untold,
And this is true now until they are old,
The hearts of those within his halls will never be complete,
As long as there is an empty place in his seat.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem for my uncle when he passed away to remember him. He was both a talented musician and a sword-fighting trainer, he always made me think of a true medieval knight. Rest in Peace Uncle Neville.
