The Whistler Poem by Rob Lamberton

The Whistler

Rating: 5.0

Who whistles to the fly
Who whistles to the bee
Who whistles to the storm
And calms the raging sea

He whistles to the fly
He whistles to the sea
He whispers to the wind
And calms the storm in me

He whistles to the demons
And they flee into the sea
He whistles to the sick
And they live eternally

He whistles to the fish
And they come swimming all about
He whistles to the deaf
And makes them sing and shout

He whistles to the clouds
And they gather at His feet
He whistles to the dead
And they rise and with Him eat

Who whistles to the fly
Who whistles to the bee
The Lord whistles and whistles
And whistles for you and me

It's so difficult to unfold intricacies of this philosophical poem. However, your last two lines are crystal clear

A wonderful poem brilliantly presented. Liked the opening lines that engage a reader to contemplate on the poem. I concur with Rebecca's perceptive comment: God is always talking and calling to our hearts.
