The Weight Of The Unnamed Poem by Asanda Ndlovu

The Weight Of The Unnamed

Rating: 4.5

In this complicated life
I have something in my heart
I don't know what it is
And I don't know where to start

It's not love, nor is it pain
But a hollowness that remains
A grief that gnaws, a sorrow that clings
A weight that presses, a heart that sings

In silence, I scream, in darkness, I search
For a solace that's lost, a comfort that's scarce
A pain that's formless, a wound that's unseen
A hurt that's nameless, a scar that's unclean

It's the echo of a shattered dream
The whisper of a forgotten scream
A pain that's incomprehensible, a sorrow unspoken
A heart that's broken, a soul that's forsaken
