I must quote from this beautiful poem- - When seashells have to wash ashore When tides have to ebb and flow When April cherry trees must blossom fully The weight of a sponge Is a weight switched from the left hand to the right

Sponge is something which absorbs- -Though its surface appears plain, it has big space inside to absorb. Human mind has tremendous capacity like a sponge. It thinks, dreams and executes different roles at various point of our life. A wonderful poem, your translation made it possible for us to read Meier.
