Hi Munia - I am honoured to be the first to comment on your Fifth Sonnet. I am a classical poet an I am always pleased when members of the Beautiful PH Family submit poems written in classical form such as Sonnets. I am a PERFROMANCE POET and all your poems have structure and metre which makes them perfect for recitation. 'God is Love - from Him doth all love flow - He who woluld know love - must first God know'. You acquiese to this in lines 2 & 4. As you say - Love is a many splendored thing' and an exploration of 'The Ways of Love' is a fitting task for the day designated to St Valentine. In line five you refer to the fact that 'Love Purifies' - an excuse often used by wayard men! Unconditional love is another matter and can result in miracles. Line Nine: Platonic love can lead to Physical Love and eventually to Emotional love - the ways of love are progressive and 'Falling in Love' endemic. Line Eleven mentions 'Matured Love' (rather than Mature Love) the former suggesting a process - the latter just age! In my experience (of 52 years of marriage) Matured Love does engender 'Healing Love' and prevents 'Love Starvation' which is the death knell of Marriage. This is truely a Shakespearean Sonnet because of its Rhyme Pattern and the fact that the ultimate doublet succinctly sums up the context of the whole poem. 'All kinds of love can conquer love of all kinds - The atlas of love stays forever in the world of our minds'. Thank you for sharing - it scores a TEN on all counts. Yours in Poetry - JOHN
