The Wars For Peace Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Wars For Peace

The Wars For Peace

WhenI speak of love,
I could not speak of hope,

Hope was a floating songs in the sky,
Beyond my reach,

As hope will be my continuing story,
It is doubtful as the pain in writing,

How can you say there's love,
Ifthere are wars for peace?

How can you preach sense
If corpses are lying on the labyrinths,

This same are these shadow entrenchment,
Hearts that are invulnerable to pain,

Tonight with these threads of thorns,
I will sleep with my nightmares,

Cognizant with the dead corpses on the street,
Cognizant to the fact that life is deprived of love,

Cognizant that sweet accords is near impossible,
Impalpable as a lie in the brain,
