The War Letter Poem by Victoria Hudson

The War Letter

Marching
Watching
Silently
Patiently

We wait all day
We wait all night
When will we play?
When will we fight?

I see them in the distance
A mile or so
Enought to run for instance
We will not let our fear show

We will battle till we win
Returning home once again
This battle will be fought
Not enough time for another thought

When the battle is through
I will no longer need you
So far well my friend
Till I need you once again
