Wilting in the heat and dressed ever so neat,
With frizzy hair that can't be tamed,

Began in a sad note, but ended up in joy and fulfillment! How beautifully you have depicted the agony and the ecstasy of a girl in a night club and the painful truth of how inner beauty and goodness of heart are always overlooked! Full 10

Exterior beauty is given far too much credence these days, and the media are to blame for this in many ways. I used to buy a magazine called Psychologies which was supposed to make one feel better, but every page was crowned with air-brushed beauties, so I stopped buying it because it made me feel bad about myself. True beauty is within the soul. Good one Hazel.

These days everybody wants to be a celebrity and be famous for doing nothing, or they expect people to whisk them away to an exotic location like a movie star. But life is ordinary with ordinary people doing ordinary things and people who are plain ordinary sometimes have brief moments of greatness through an ordinary life. I have always looked for the ordinary girl when I was dating as I found those with ‘airs and graces’ too much trouble. A good poem Hazel.
