The wall is cracked and broken,
Wire atop just coiled rust,
Potentially falling dust
At the touch of brown fingers
Grasping; but a sigh lingers,
Whispers of fearful yesterdays
Murmurs of unknown tomorrows,
A flood unrestrained,
Of people, of blood, of bullets, of flame.
The Emperor smiles.
