Hearts in tune feel the deep passion of this moment as you have penned it, and so masterly. Full of feeling. A ten of tens. Fay.

Potent piece, both in its general context and the individual telling. Waiting rooms are like purgatory for loved ones, really - sated with the the anxiety (albiet, often silent) of the immediately unknown, of the wait. It's overwhelming really to consider that at any given moment, there are people sitting in generic looking rooms filled the terror that comes of having been informed of the risks their loved one is facing and the inability to influence the outcome. Your line 'It is a battle I cannot fight' and your concluding lines are heart tugging. The whole of the piece is well presented and moving... but it is the enormous weight of those particular lines, I thought, that made it an emotionally hard hitting piece for this reader. Well done, James. Christine
