Dorothy, I'll stick with the chocolates all the time. Seriously though, this is a beautiful piece that expresses so much. I loved the line about painting him in the corner. This poems say it all for me. The hint of jealousy that come through on the final stanza. Brilliant. 10/10 from me and thanks for sharing it. David
I like the frivolity of this poem, its fast pace, changes of mood and tone, and interchange between the participants, and sudden remarks. Opulent wonder is a fascinating idea about love. Suit and facemask fit in well with the concept and message of the poem.
