The Visitor Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

The Visitor

Rating: 5.0

After several rounds of the world
I have finally arrived at your doorstep
Thanks for inviting me in
I will stay but a few days
Unless you decide to keep me longer

Don't fret about the sore throat,
The slow fever, body ache,
Those are the gifts I carry
Be thankful, you have taken all those vaccines
Before you invited me in

Foolish of you to undermine my power
I am still evolving, still branching out
So be aware, keep your double masks on
Wash your hands frequently
Sanitize all that you bring in

Unless you want me to pay a second visit…

My mate disbelieves in 'iruses', and contends that vaccines are what do harm. I have not decided what to believe. We are not vaccinated and have no plans to be. bri : )

I believe vaccines surely works against the virus, at least it decreases its severity

'Foolish of you to undermine my power' I suggest using 'underestimate'. bri : : )
