The Village Memories Poem by Mrs Sarojini pattayat

The Village Memories

Memories...
Always lovely and beautiful.

My village of scenic beauty, its story never ends, the villagers so simple and peace loving, in the realms of time their memories add smile to my loneliness.

The palm trees, the mango groves, the chatters of squirrels, the song of koels, the long tired afternoon, the mystic dusk and dreamy night adds smile to my loneliness.

The village tiny primary school, the gorgeous highschool, the friends whom I recalls in my each twist, the teachers who have added wisdom in my life adds smile to my loneliness.
My mother and father, my grandpa, my granny, my maternal uncles and aunts, my nana and nanny, always adds smile to my loneliness.

The jangle around my village, the sunrises and the sunsets, the seasons those have already danced in the village path, always adds smile to my loneliness.

Memories...
Ah!
Always lovely and beautiful.
