The Velvet Underground Poem by DM W

The Velvet Underground

Rating: 5.0

The bucolic Californian dream
Of the late 1960s was burst by
This dark, streetwise and eerie New York scene.
This band spoke about heroin, speed while
In San Francisco L.S.D was hip.
Nico, John Cale, Mo Tucker Lou Reed and
Add Sterling Morrison's cool guitar licks
And you've got Andy Warhol's in- house band.
