Wowww, a great write. It's really hard to resist beauty n yes sometimes desires become a curse if not fulfilled. A work of beauty with philosophical n spiritual undertones. A huge 10.
This poem is absolutely superb! Poetry at its best! I shall save it to '' my favorites '' list.
My dear Mihaela, thank you indeed for reading, and for your gracious and generous comment. So lovely to have you stop by. Thank you, and blessings to you!
Wow...loved this one, like deep sometimes dark poems full of feeling, and this one didn; t disappoint, very well penned Seamus. Annette

A lyrical reminder of the torments we suffer reaching for the unobtainable. The cruel pain. Yes, this is a very fine poem, Seamus.
Thank you, Tom. Forever bound to reach for the unobtainable; yes, that's it exactly. Well phrased. Always glad to hear from you, Tom.
Wow! ! ! The curse walks in all the hearts of all men, ...why will you not save me, you who have made me so defenseless to such beauty, yet so offended by its power? This poem is extremely awesome and should be poem of the day, I love poems with questions begging for answers that would bring balance, a vault of torment indeed! Great job! ! !
Many 'thank you's, indeed, Bill, for your gracious comments. I love that thought, the curse that walks in all the hearts of men. Cheers, good friend! Seamus
an interesting undertaking. o how i know the ache you describe! alas especially for the peerless beauty of the female of the human species to whom we seem inescapably drawn! ... o but even a little beauty makes up for so much crap. better this pain than bitterness and distrust, no? praise to the One who drenches the earth in beauty! glen p.s. there is a passage in my poem on reading a book of mystic writings that touches on these things. -g
