The U.S Flag Poem by Randy McClave

The U.S Flag

First they scream how patriotic they are to the flag
As they continually boast and brag,
They also wear it on their hats and shirts
Also on their swimsuits, towels, socks and skirts.
They tell us and show us how and when to salute
And if we don't, we should all get the boot,
And never for the flag should we take a knee
We are all patriotic they say, can't you see.
The flag they have hugged and loved and kissed
Those who disrespected the flag they've shook their fists,
Our flag we must always respect
With honor and pride and patriotism we must connect.
A U.S President has recently fallen
Now pride and honor for his service the flag is callin',
Now shamefully many scream the flag shouldn't be at half mast
In remembrance of a U.S president, who did past.
