The Unemployed Watchmakers Poem by viacheslav kupriyanov

The Unemployed Watchmakers

The unemployed watchmakers have gone out
to put a stop to time by any means necessary
the mechanical clocks took up the fight
mechanical clocks stopped
table clocks wall clocks fell in battle
the clocks fell in death of the brave crashed
the clocks in the towers together with their towers
where were sentenced
to life imprisonment seasoned
the killers of time struck the pocket watches
in their pockets wristwatches turned
into handcuffs for timelessly supporting
unemployed crowds of the penniless rushed
hopelessly without money and solitary
groups of the disengaged were dispatched
regulars directed to suppress the rioters
regular parts armed with sharp clockwork
minute hands and second hands
on their empty banners
was inscribed time is money
