The Truth I Was Told Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

The Truth I Was Told

The truth I was told
Too clear to be blind;
I scanned it clean withno fold
And no bit of question to find.

A stealer in the search
The killerman's piteous nod.
How do one doubt an exarch
When swearing it with God? .

Like hunter's vow to dog
Then lest the hunt in wood
Wrestling so hard alone in the tug
And man watching afar he stood.

But dog who laboured,
Alone and killed the toast;
Was who hunter and his neighbors
Wanted chased away after the roast?
