The Truth Poem by Peter S. Quinn

The Truth

Rating: 5.0

In shadowed halls where silent whispers creep,
Among the realms where secrets dare not sleep,
There lies a truth, elusive, cold as stone,
A whispered word, in silence, all alone.

Not all can bear to hear its quiet call,
For in its grasp, illusions start to fall.
The masks we wear, the lies we softly told,
Dissolve away, in Truth's relentless hold.

For some, the truth is harsh, a bitter sting,
A burdened song that distant echoes bring.
Yet there it stands, unwavering and bold,
A tale unspoken, yet forever told.

In every heart, a piece of it resides,
A silent truth that words can never hide.
