Here again, the story of Elenore echoes Letitia's separation from her infant daughter, Ella. Raymond gains fame (in battle) but not adulation (in love) just as Letitia gained fame (in poetry) and a critical press. Yet she is a 'troubadour', who must needs write and provide the money to support her family.
