The Trick Or Treaters Poem by Emma Mcullough

The Trick Or Treaters

Through moonlt streets they wander, soft shadows in disguise,
With laughter's whisper trailing where the pale mist lies.
Under lanterns carved and glowing, magic fills the skies,
And mystery dances gleefully in every child's eyes.
Oh, what joy to roam the night where wonder never dies—
The little spirits of Halloween, where sweet enchantment flies.

With capes that billow softly and masks of grand delight,
They skip from door to door beneath the silver night.
Their laughter rings like chimes beneath the pumpkin light,
As candies gleam like treasures gathered in their flight.
Oh, to share their merry hearts so fearless and so bright—
The little dreamers of Halloween, in wonders steet twilight.

Through rustling leaves they wander, their footsteps soft and low,
Past haunted lawns where ghostly sheets in autumn breezes flow.
Each doorway holds a promise, each smile a gentle glow,
And though the night grows colder, their spirits never slow.
Ah, to live within that magic only children know—
The little keepers of Halloween, where sweetest fancies grow.
