Ah Jim! Another wonderful story told through your wonderful writing! I also love trees and have become so upset with how many are being cut down in the city I live in. Love this beautiful write. Just imagine how very blase and boring our seasons would be without the splendor of trees.
Beneath the branches of my tree lined life, I have found the comfort that nothing less provided the same. Often I drive by the home of my youthful years, just to spy upon the old crab apple tree that kept all my secrets safe. I love this poem, and you ha v done well to keep the tree's heart beating. Just beautiful! PEACE

...................truly a beautiful tribute.....trees are so special....they do so much for us.... and definitely we would not be here if not for trees....loved reading this piece...
