Very simple but wise words of wisdom from the tortoise. In the times we with the corona virus it would be a good time to smell the roses as the expression goes. Maybe people will learn not to rush about so much chasing what they cannot hold on to in this world and to seek the eternal treasure in Christ himself.

There is a lot to learn from the Tortoise. The wise Tortoise has been a teacher to the sages of India. Let us also learn to slow down and enjoy life in its innate rhythmic pace. A wonderful photo too. A simple but a profound poem of great worth. Thank you Tony.

This wonderful piece honoured with POD prize... somehow I missed... congrats dear poet... Tortoise reminds us not to get into this world's rat race, reminds about 'slow and steady'... reminds us that nature never hurries and yet overtakes any phenomenon in the world

Hey, Tony! As it happens, I’m in PH for the first time in a while, and I’m glad to see your name and poem featured. The problems of spacing and punctuation aside, I like this piece. Somewhat similar, if you’re curious, see my poem “The Backyard, ” perhaps my most minimalistic poem. Wishing you all the best, Glen
