The Tortoise And The Hair Poem by Cowboy Ron Williams

The Tortoise And The Hair

Rating: 4.5

The tortoise got a new comb
for his birthday.
The problem with that is
that he had no hair.
Did you know that reptiles
never have hair?
He was grateful to the giver, anyway.
He said 'Thanks. I'll never part with it.'

Your sense of humor is pure cowboy, through and through. Wish I could throw a rope on it, drag it over to my barn and study it a spell... I got a lot of learning to do to measure up pard!

Not your best, Ron. But thanks for sharing. Yes, you're correct, as you said in your message. Was the comb made of tortoise shell? bri : )

Thanks, Bri, and you're right; it's not my best. But then again, only ONE of my poems can be the best. Which one do you think it is?
