The Titanic Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

The Titanic

dragon imposes
the lion reacts
door to peace closes
for alliance and pacts

pressure increases
on the border lands
war drum never ceases
though politicians shake hands

build up of forces
who will concede
battle for resources
tide does'nt recede

great wall upon sea
trade routes blocked
oceans once free
now sealed and locked

full steam ahead
only one outcome
millions dead
yet profit for some
