Soran! ! ! Autumn is a beautiful season in many ways, is it not? ? ? - it is neither too hot nor too cold, it provides lovely colorful walks, and one can brew up some hot chocolate and gaze out the window at the birds leaving for better climates

Soran, This is the vase-shaped tree of several of my poems- -it lives across the street!

Definitely true, even one day can make thing different, Susan has seen the beauty in the autumn and everything belonging to the nature, all images here are fabulous, also we can interpret the autumn as the age of human and their inner beauties never fade, well done and have a top mark and into my treasure chest

It was that kind of morning-crisp mystic fallen autumn day when nature slipped on another overcoat and the tree turned from summer dress and garb and became a Regency era beauty

The tree lives across the street and has been featured in several of my poems. It is so beautifully and well shaped- so like a chalice. And come fall the leaves turn into a shimmering gold yellow in contrast to my burning bush' deep red leaves!

A touching expression on autumn has been presented here startlingly. You have painted as....... the tree turned from summer dress and garb and became a Regency era beauty all beclad and beclothed in gold sunlight captured in every leaf bedecked with the fall of life a seasonal gypsy coming alive dancing and swaying and plying its charms clad in gold coin and romantic Romani veils Beautiful poem.10. I do love autumn, my most favourite season when deciduous trees become splendidly dressed before releasing their leaves. Our Liquid Ambers have shown their rich cloak of many colours for longer this year due to confusing weather patterns so it has been a real treat this winter. Your poem captures all the stunning beauty in your magnificent tree.

It is a lovely season in which I can go for walks w/o getting heat stroke and that I can enjoy nippy little breezes w/o being frozen to the bone or blown into the next county! And the colors! ! ! ! Oh, it is an artist's paradise! ! ! For my money, it is the finest of the fine seasons that this desert/plateau countryside has to offer. And I have that gorgeous vase-shaped tree to gaze upon! ! ! Thank you for your appreciative comment- -I am glad to meet another lover of Autumn!

Here trying to catch up with your poems... this one a true gem. The wording and the imagery you conjured up, simply a delight. You weaved words like an Hindustani craftsman his precious golden filaments into breathtaking gossamer! Sorry for the comparison a bit too hyperbolic perhaps: I struggled a bit trying to express my sheer enjoyment!

Beautiful picture of Autumn when the leaves are changed from Green to auburn, yellow, gold and sometimes even scarlet! It is such a lovely season with a chill in the wind! Mesmerizing descriptions Susan! I am transported to a region of magic charm! Each tree is a blessing from God! I invite you to read my poem An Agonizing Cry which was the poem of today, (unfortunately it was there only for three or four hours and soon got replaced by another poem!)

So... I have always loved autumn poems. This season never fails to captivate and I am amazed how poets can come up with so many NEW ways to personify the beautiful autumn trees...and this one does it for me. I'm smiling and beguiled by your gypsy tree. I spend hours looking out on the trees in my yard....and like you certain ones are recast over and over again throughout seasons and years. Love those trees, they bring me to tears.....

Autumn is so hypnotic and a natural treasure chest for themes and metaphors. And who could resist leaping into a piles of colorful crunchy leaves via the verses of a poem? So pleased to hear your comments, coming as they do from an experienced word weaver!

This is the same tree that stars in Girl in Waiting- it lives across the street and has given me much joy through the years, it and its visitors- squirrels, birds of every kind, cats... I'm so glad you enjoyed this poem about her. Thank you for the read and comment and those enthusiastic 10's! ! ! ! ! !

Enjoyed the imagery. Reminded me how beautiful the trees were as my wife and I sailed on a New England cruise not so long ago. Thanks for sharing.

Sheer beauty this poem! I haven't witnessed such glorious spectacle as I have not traveled in regions where trees appear dressed-up, bejeweled, flamboyant just for a short while during shifting seasons. Yet, your poem has me mesmerized and utterly enthralled. Thanks. (10)

I could have sworn that I write a reply to your comment but FB denies this- there is no record anywhere. So I apologize for my seeming laxness and ill-mannered behavior. I am so happy with your comment! ! ! I tried so hard with this poem to project the loveliness of this tree- I see it change into golden garb every year. It's not going to be a three day change from green to gold this year- - the forest and sagebrush fires that raged through my state are responsible, I believe, for leaves turning yellow here and there starting a month ago... right now there is a lot of yellow on the south facing branches and a mere scatter of yellow elsewhere. Hopefully it turns solid yellow before starting to drop leaves this year. Thank you for the 10- -this tree deserves it!

Regency era beauty is regained with arrival of Autumn and golden flashing of light appears in imagery painted here. Dancing and swaying and plying its charms we feel this importance in life in this poem. Amazing! 10
