This is an ode to true friendship and loyalty. Such a friend is one in a thousand. 'But the thousandth man will sink or swim/ With you in any water'. Very well put. If you are mocked by others, 'the Thousandth man will stand by your side'. Kipling is right with his assessment of true friendship.
