Interesting story... It certainly captured my attention! Is there more to come of the young girl with the tender ember? BTW? The idea of a tender ember is awesome. Your poem opens up like a mysterious story... I'm still trying to untangle it all and figure it out. It's told dramatically and the language is lively, lyrical, and colorful. So... She lost a twin sister in the woods and had to cross the woods herself to get home without being killed? ... And then she made it because her soul, a tender ember, lit the way and protected her from harm....? Am I close? I'd love to hear more! !
