The Temple Of Life Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

The Temple Of Life

The sun has washed ashore
Upon the desert of life
While I smile at destinies
One at a time

Memories choke
Piercing pain,
While tears rustle
Like trampled leaves
All through the night

I hear a voice
Calling my name
Arise my friend: he says
For the time has truly arrived
For the lord is waiting
In the temple of life

I quickly spring
Into footsteps alight
And run into the
Maddening night

Oh for my lord is waiting
In the temple of life
I have nothing to offer
But a fallen leaf
By the roadside

I heave
And I whisper
Oh mercy be my lord
I have no flowers
In the fields of life
But I have brought
A leaf fallen by the roadside

To offer
A life for a life
Just as fragile
Like a leaf
Fallen by the roadside

So you may heal
All the pain
All the sorrow
That life has brought
Unto the world
Of today and tomorrow
