The Tale Of The Rainbow Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

The Tale Of The Rainbow

Rating: 5.0

As the rain started to drizzle
drenching the warming-up sky,
the sun came out sore and asked-
You spoil my day thus, why?

Glancing at the group of clouds,
the rain said evasively
they come from a long distance,
bring water extensively

Scenting the need for action,
the sun viewed the clouds for a while
sent out a ray of light that
held charming, disarming smile!

The clouds were instantly pleased,
agreed to stall their mission,
desired to take home smile rays,
put in a new submission

I would split them, said the rain,
in seven colorful strings,
and bend them to form a bow
for your easy shouldering!

The sky applauded gently,
sent down a thunder lightly
the earth woke up and listened,
sent its invite outrightly!

Beautiful imagination! Thus the sun and rain together created the multi coloured arch in the sky for all of us to rejoice!
