It is wonderfully knit satiric poem.I love its tone and form.
Beneath the facade, bitter truths lie! Behind each smiling face, there is an iceberg of dejection, sorrow and frustration- the tip of which alone at times shows itself up above the surface! ! An army of delights and dismay marches in And across the barricades of past and present it goes. A herd of cattle is first led to some worn out grassland Only to squeal from a slaughter house later. Very powerful lines.... To this, let me add four lines from one of my poems! Behind the profuse praises of men Lie the sneering taunts that wound Beneath the velvety paws remain The sharp piercing claws that cut. A terrific write, Dinesh!
The catastrophe in series has its enduring relevance. Very much delighted at the content, but wish the Dinesh style too had its go along with! I request your good self consider a second reading and a bit of adorning some of your verses, as Thomas Gray had on his Elegy. Truth still shines beyond all adornments in your verses. Cheers.
Yes the smiles behind the lies of corruption and deceit always a catastrophe looming as life unfolds it's dark secrets of hiding the truth which will judge our action's dismally! ! A brilliant write of exposing all the tears behind the smiles! !
You bring out the realities of the society with a punch. There are many catastrophes indeed, thank you.
Beautiful write with a deep meaning in it....Yes well said the onlookers smile at both and clap for a while..It's the catastrophe one knows not... Loved reading it.. Sir, Please do read my funny poem Happy learning dear! and Labyrinth...
As NP sir has said, rather than the explicit imagery you have knitted, I liked the intended satire!
