Realising I am not made of flesh and blood my poor heart retreats in dismay
Here on the veranda of this textile shop I have been in deep penance for long

A tailor who is an expert in his work is a much sought after person! A well stitched garment when worn adds elegance and confidence to the person who wears it! Even if the cloth is expensive, if it is not properly stitched won't look nice at all. So a good tailor will be liked by his customers. Such a man's absence will be deeply felt. The sewing machine which lies vacant is a painful reminder of the deceased tailor! A fine tribute!

So skilled a tailor was he that he was liked by all his customers Sleepless nights and restless days made his creations famous around Freshness smelling dresses he made might have enchanted childre Bridal robes he designed might have added undefined beauty to bride...I profusely admire the beauty of the expression! The life of a tailor is immaculately depicted in this beautiful poem....10

Personification of the sewing machine with the idea of a soul in it is commendable. Will be remembered for the simplicity of thoughts and emotions in it.

The contrasting perspectives through the sewing machine, and the tailor show a story through two different viewpoints; Therefore allowing one event (the children walking to school) to tell two different stories. Very thought provoking!
