The Sweet Rose
I plucked a rose for you
It was drenched deep with dew
Its petals were of a soothing hue
I put it in your lush dark hair
Your beauty was classic and rare
Smiling, with me love you did share
Now I am the happiest guy
A little daring and a little shy
Your love makes me soar to the sky
Thanks to the little rose
To me it did bring you close
With you my life now happily flows
