The poem comes out from the feelings of the heart but dictum of the head. 'Somewhere deep in me And I mourn the loss Of what never was, What never would be I am still so grateful For the knowing.' - Sad and poignant. The title of the poem is well thought of, appropriate. I loved the poem, rated it 10/10.

Although you could easily write an embittered angry poem about this (the route I probably would have took) you took the high road and decided to learn a lesson (albeit a sad one) from the whole situation. I enjoyed this poem. There is pain but also maturity. Thanks for sharing! I always love your work
