The Strongest Link Poem by Ray Hansell

The Strongest Link

A single face
A single tear
Runs down a cheek
With no one near

She just found out
Her time has come
In a very short time
Her life will be done

The years flash
Before her eyes
Soon she'll know
Her soul will rise

Her children are grown
Her job complete
The Lord her savior
She's ready to meet

She lays in bed
Just waiting for
To be taken
To heavens door

No more suffering
No more pain
She was the strongest link
In her family's long chain

Another great related poem to follow your 'Waiting Room ' poems. A fitting reflection on life and death.
