The Strength Enlightenment Poem by Kiran Pillai

The Strength Enlightenment

I was born to be strong. Strong as cement
Yet, life taught its ways to hide and be meek.
How much can an elephant hide with rats?
He is huge, black and bad. Die. Not hide!

I was born to be strong. Stand out and be brave.
But, some wrong people taught me wrong things.
The appearance of wrong doings looked appealing.
I fell right into the trap of weakness. Too bad!

Can't be hiding my strengths anymore today.
If someone is uncomfortable with my strength,
Let them hide from me. I know where you hide.
But, I am on a mission. Don't stop me on my way!

I was born to be strong like a skyscraper.
Stand tall and majestic, even if I become targeted.
Maybe they will abuse me and call me names.
I am not afraid of what people think of me.

Strength comes with happiness. Also capacity.
Strength has capacity to change the world around me.
I will change the world around me, if needed.
I have a way of doing things. It will be done so.

Does this sound like ego to me? Too many ‘I' thoughts.
Not scared of even appearing like egoistic.
Let me risk enlightenment for strength today.
Be strong. Be brave and don't just care about anything.
