This is a wonderful treat (for me) which I found listed as # 58 today in PH's list of Best Member Poems. Kim Barney said I had one at # 60? this week, so I am peeking.

And I like that the poet did not feel 'she' had to have the same number of lines in each stanza. bri : )

I love a long, well-done, story in poetic form, with GOOD rhymes. This is one of THEM!

I'd give this 10 stars if I could! Bonnie Parker? I wonder if the author uses the name from the famed criminal of Bonnie and Clyde infamy.

Holy cow, what a poet! I read all her poems and I must say I'm stunned at the sheer force and simple truth that speak through her lines. A poor country girl, " born on the wrong side of the tracks" , becomes a fallen angel after not being given too many chances in life. Should we pity her? Most definitely. Should we forget that she teamed up with a killer, himself a rape and abuse victim? Certainly not. Oh, the humanity.....
