I think you have knitted the narrative rather deftly to highlight the plight of a young child on the street with a wretched past and a dark future. This is all very sad. There is a needless reference to Genghis Khan in the poem. The following lines should be edited and revised suitably- 'he can't be held responsible / for the rape of his mother....' Thanks.
