Excellent as usual. You set the bar very high for the rest of us. I was fortunate to have excellent parents who did not believe in corporal punishment. I was punished once that way- and I really deserved it. I seem for the most part not to have turned out too badly. JM

whoa. This is powerful and definitely is a painful experience tht a lot of children, including me have gone through. I have to say from the title I was expecting something different and got pain instead of pleasure but still was a great read! Thank you

A painful recollection. The words you have chosen to describe this experience are effective - sharp and biting. Too many parents resort to the belt as a way of disciplining their children. I was fortunate. Our father used his slipper, but I don't remember the few times he used it.
