The Storm And I Poem by Rae Seagull

The Storm And I

Rating: 5.0

The gusty winds agitate me
And the cold gnaws at my core
Nevertheless, I stand proud
Tough, resilient and sure
I sway with the winds
And grin at the rain
I reckon it's a test of my strength
So boldly bear it all...
I feel no misery or fear
Adversity cannot affect me
As no one can pilfer
The happiness and buoyancy within me
I know all storms are transient
And the sun will shine again
So I stand there and laugh
I'm certain this too shall pass...
