The Stone -04 Poem by Subhas Chandra Chakra

The Stone -04

Rating: 5.0

Then there was
The emergence of a species
New and dynamic
Weak but artistic
Slow yet thoughtful
Without horns and hoofs,
Without nails and large teeth,
Without wings and long beaks,
Without venom or a stinger,
Still it won, invaded, and
Tamed oneand all around
Without a war.

A new era dawned.
Humans were born.

A wonderful way for the emergence of the human species, so beautifully narrated. I clearly remember stone 1,2,3 poems penned by you. I liked the way you gave an artistic touch to the human kind - the aesthetics which makes all the difference! A pleasure to read, Subhas li.

Thanks dear poet for the warm comments. I owe my gratitude to you. There is a bug in this site, Poemhunter.. sometimes it does not allow to render your comments -in spite of my repeated efforts that day to send my comment on your poem A bird named desire, each time it made me desperate by saying You can not send duplicate comments. I will try it again. May be Iwould be lucky sometime again. Thanks. Subhas
