The Stars Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

The Stars

Rating: 5.0

The little star in the sky asks,
'We have played enough
With the celestial beings up here.
Can we play now with the kids
Down on the earth, mom? '
'No', She says
They are asleep and will be up
When you fall asleep
It goes on like this
And so you can never play with them
Hm! But the purest of them
Will be lifted as a star like you
And will join you to play
You were all human kids,
Purest of the folk there
You reached here
Through the ladder of death

A beautiful poem! Children are inquisitive and curious to know the celestial bodies like moon and stars.A child star may be inquisitive about our earth and would like to play with our children. An imaginative write, lovely and beautiful.
