with its marvellous mind
inter-woven in a flawless art piece

the spirit of man
is ever exposed
to the treacherous corners
of human exploitations
and the cunning ways of human emotions
with their deceitful outpourings
and their overpowering powers

the spirit of man
is pummelled by temptations
in a timeless attempt
to manipulate the righteous nature
of the human spirit
and move it away from light
into the pit of darkness

the spirit of man
remains defiant
to the manipulative hands of time
from generation to generation
millennium to millennium
the spirit of man remains true
to the CREATOR.
